Meet Danielle, Founder/CEO
Danielle Smith, the visionary, Founder, and CEO of The EmpowHERment Zone, is a trailblazing leader and community advocate dedicated to empowering women and fostering generational success. As the first African American woman as Tax Commissioner of Clayton County, Georgia, Danielle has broken barriers while demonstrating an unwavering commitment to leadership, public service, and community development.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management & Organizational Development and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration specializing in Public Policy and Governance, Danielle brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her mission. Bilingual in American Sign Language (ASL) and English, she is a dynamic communicator who ensures inclusivity and accessibility in all her efforts.

A leader by nature, Danielle’s passion extends beyond personal achievement—she is dedicated to building people and strengthening communities for future generations. Through The EmpowHERment Zone, she continues to inspire, educate, and create opportunities that empower women to step into their full potential and make a lasting impact.
My Story
From an early age, I knew I was called to lead, serve, and make a difference in the lives of others. As a woman of faith, resilience, and determination, my journey has been shaped by a deep passion for leadership and community empowerment. Becoming the first African American woman as Tax Commissioner of Clayton County, Georgia was not just a milestone in my career—it was a testament to perseverance, breaking barriers, and paving the way for others to follow.

I have always been driven by the desire to create opportunities for others. I also understand the power of inclusivity and the importance of ensuring every voice is heard. As a single mother of four children, I intimately understand the struggles of mothers raising children while balancing personal and professional aspirations. I know the sleepless nights, the sacrifices, and the strength it takes to keep pushing forward despite challenges. But I also know the power of perseverance, faith, and community support. My journey as a mother has shaped my leadership, deepening my commitment to helping other women navigate their own paths to success.

The EmpowHERment Zone was born from my belief that women deserve a space to be inspired, equipped, and empowered to reach their highest potential. I have witnessed firsthand the challenges many women face—whether in relationships, leadership, finance, or personal growth—and I am committed to providing the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed.
